What we do
Easy Read is a simplified – but not simple – form of writing. Now, more than ever before, business, public sector and NGO leaders need to turn their mind to communicating effectively with all the community including people with cognitive / intellectual disabilities, including autism and other neuro diversities, people with dementia, people for whom English is not their first language and those with low literacy.
Easy Read is not just about the words you use. Every feature adds to understanding and accessibility, including the images, layout, formatting and white space, definitions for jargon and complex terms and more.
The Easy Read Toolbox is a one stop shop, providing the tools and support needed to learn and write Easy Read to produce easy to understand communication. The Toolbox also encourages increased everyday use of Easy Read to improve inclusion.
